PROF. GERHARD REICHERT
Dipl. Ingenieur-Designer, Dipl. Ing. FH
Gerhard Reichert was born in Ravensburg, Germany in 1962. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Applied Science Weingarten.
Then he continued his education and graduated in integral design at the SADK Stuttgart. During this time he worked for the Siemens Design Center.
After he developed new modular-car-systems for SKODA in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute.
From 93-97 he was project manager at MH Design Engineering in Switzerland and Germany.
In 97 Michele De Lucchi invited him, to work with him in Milan as a project manager in Studio De Lucchi until 2004. During this period, he lay the foundations for his own studio reichert-design
In 2004 he was appointed Professor for Design at the University of Applied Science Aachen.
In 2007 he accepted the offer for a professorship at the University of Applied Science Schwäbisch Gmünd
His expertise is design in complex global contexts and alternate branches of industry and markets such as office furniture, interiors, lamps and industrial and medical products and so on. He is collaborating with national and international companies such as Artemide, AAT, ALS, Brunner, iGuzzini, Interstuhl, Koleksiyon, Leifheit, Molteni,
and quite a few of his products were awarded with design prizes.
Additionally, he is active as an expert, advisor and acting in several design jury.
